This has been an extremely tragic week for our nation. We had not yet fully absorbed the shock of the pipe bomber terrorist, when the most horrific attack on Jews in our country’s history traumatized our collective senses. So many innocent lives snatched away from their loved ones and their community by one singular act of terror. South Dakota Faith in Public Life stands in solidarity with our Jewish neighbors in South Dakota, The Tree of Life Synagogue and the Jewish community at large in America. Houses of worship are supposed to be a place of sanctuary and comfort, free from the threat of violence. We share in the grief of Pittsburgh and pray that no one has to endure such barbarity because of their faith , culture, ethnicity or sexual orientation. Bigotry has no place in America. Racism has no place in America. Anti-Semitism has no place in America.
